Student-Centered Voice Pedagogy: Working with your Students to Develop Artistry with Dr. Jeanne Goffi-Fynn
Studio lessons offer a unique and personal learning experience between voice teacher and student—an artistic journey rooted in building strong technique, musical accuracy, and confident performance skills (Wexler, 2009). While most teachers agree on these goals, this webinar offers a fresh perspective: shifting the focus from how we teach to how students learn.
In this session, Columbia professor and active NY City performing artist, Dr. Jeanne Goffi-Fynn, will help us explore how voice teachers can facilitate meaningful progress by inspiring curiosity, supporting student-driven inquiry, and providing the right kind of guidance at the right time. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of how to create impactful learning experiences that empower your singers and transform your studio.
